Back to Blue developed over many months and became deeper and deeper. The title is a nod to the “Back to Black” album by Amy Winehouse. It is “back” in the sense that blue used to be my signature colour, derived from the predominant blue shades in the Greek sea and sky. The eye is drawn to the raised, uneven surface and then taken through more and more imaginary portals.
